We can also supply and fit parking sensors and reversing cameras to vehicles
Front & Reverse Parking Sensors enable you to safely park in the smallest of spaces. As well as alerting you of parked cars the system can detect children and low walls, which are out of normal vision.
How do Parking Sensors work?
The system is automatically activated when you engage reverse gear. Sensors are fixed to the rear of the vehicle, which send and receive ultrasonic radio waves that bounce off obstacles and alert you to their presence. There is an internal buzzer that gradually increases in frequency as you approach the object. A continuous tone denotes that you are within 0.35m (1ft) of the obstacle.
The front sensors are active when the vehicle ignition is on, during normal driving conditions the sensors will detect objects such as high kerbs and other vehicles. To avoid false triggering we recommend that a Front Sensor Smart Switch is fitted to automatically power the front parking sensors when reverse gear is engaged and maintain power for approximately 30 seconds following the disengagement of reverse gear. After 30 seconds the front sensors will automatically switch off.
Reverse Parking Sensor kit with camera with 4 Recessed Sensors suitable for cars, vans, motorhomes and coaches. The Discrete Monitor in Rear View Mirror automatically switches from mirror to colour TFT monitor when reverse gear is engaged. Bar graph showing which sensors have detected an object and distance in metres is displayed over the video image. Monitor extension lead is available enabling this system to be fitted to a vehicle of just about any length.
